Principal's Welcome

It is with pride and pleasure that I begin my fifth year as Principal of Clarendon Elementary School!  While I’m sad that summer is coming to an end, I have to admit, the excitement of a new, challenging school year is motivating to me.  I am sure you had some hectic times keeping the kids busy, but hope that you were able to read, relax and enjoy family and friends, too.

Do you believe that we are just 2 short weeks from a brand new school year at Clarendon Elementary?  Our staff took advantage of the time to prepare for the upcoming year and we all look forward to August 26th when our students arrive!

In my experience, I know that students are most successful when they have someone at home that is active in our school community.  This year, I would like to extend a challenge to each of our families.  I would like you to make it a commitment to become involved at the school to some degree.  Whether you can volunteer at school, make projects at home, or participate in evening events…we need you.  Parents and community partners make Clarendon an amazing learning community.   If you are not already a part of our volunteer team, I invite you to contact me, CLUB, or your child's teacher to determine where you can make your best contribution to our students' success.  We do appreciate the help and support.

As always, if you have questions, please call the school at 330-453-7681 or email at herberghs_n@ccsdistrict.org.  We can’t wait to see you and hear about your summer adventures!   Best wishes for a smooth start!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Herberghs, Principal

The Clarendon Community "Leaves their Mark!"

Clarendon Elementary began a building-wide art project for four permanent display cabinets in our new school’s lobby. The project, called "Leave Your Mark!”, allows every student and staff member to participate in the design of what is sure to be an eye catching display! This is something that they can come back later in their life and take pride in.

Clarendon Can Give Back!

Did you know you can help feed a family and brush up on your vocabulary skills at the same time? It's hard to believe - but TRUE!
